How Does Anger Management Work?
Anger management counseling helps you or your child to identify triggers and the physical or emotional signs that occur as you begin to get angry. Recognizing and managing the signs is an important step to controlling your anger. Everyone has different reasons for becoming angry. At CNLD Testing & Therapy, we will work with you or your child to identify the stressors or triggers that are particular to you (e.g., frustration with a partner/child/parent, problems with peers or a co-worker, past trauma, financial stress).
Anger management can also help you recognize the physical signs that your anger is rising, such as a racing pulse, poor sleeping, or jaw clenching. If you can identify when an outburst is coming, you can take control of it and use your coping mechanisms to minimize it.
Therapy is a personalized process that is unique to each individual. Our goal in anger management counseling is to give you the tools you need to improve your quality of life. We offer individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy, along with psychological testing services.
