Amanda Worthington, Licensed Master Social Worker
Amanda Worthington is a fully Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan- Flint and her Master of Social Work degree from Michigan State University.
For the last ten years, Amanda has worked with children, adolescents, and families in the residential, home based, and inpatient settings. Amanda specializes in working with children and adults who experience depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, behavioral issues, relationship issues, family issues, life transitions, and trauma.
She approaches the therapeutic relationship with a focus on being person centered and strengths based and utilizes evidenced based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Amanda enjoys working with clients to build a strong therapeutic relationship and believes this is the foundation to making real and lasting change.
