Services
Payment

After each interview/session at CNLD, you will receive an itemized statement of services. Please plan to pay at the time of service. If you need to make alternative payment arrangements or need to work out a payment plan, please discuss this with the clinic director at the initial interview; therapy clients should discuss this with their therapist.

Insurance Reimbursement

CNLD does not bill insurance companies directly. It is the client’s responsibility to check with his/her insurance company prior to the appointments to determine coverage and reimbursement.

Payment is expected at the time of service. We can provide codes to you in advance of your initial meeting so you can find out what portion of our services may be covered in your policy. We will provide you with an itemized statement of services after each appointment that will include appropriate procedure, diagnosis, and billing codes for your insurance company. Once you have paid the CNLD invoice, you will receive a copy of it, marked "paid." You may then submit this invoice to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours notice so that we can reschedule the appointment time. If an appointment is canceled with less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged for a portion of the time (excluding emergencies).

If you miss an appointment, you will also be charged for a portion of the missed time. Therapy clients will be charged for the missed session if less than 24 hours notice is given.

Waiting Area / Clinic Guidelines

The entire office suite of CNLD is non-smoking. The Ann Arbor office has WiFi available in the waiting area, so please feel welcome to bring your laptop. Various magazines and parent resources are also provided for you to read. Games and toys are available for child clients to play with while waiting or during breaks. Snack foods and drinks are permitted in the waiting area only.

HIPAA Policy

The HIPAA notice describes how psychological and medical information about you may be used and disclosed, as well as how you can access this information. To view a copy of this privacy notice, please click on the following link: HIPAA information.

Autism is a tough enough thing to live with every day, but add in emotional and social issues and things can get pretty overwhelming! Your ability to take all these complicated issues, bring them together, and provide clear and concise guidelines for how to make things better – how can we thank you? Of course, there are still struggles (and always will be), but we understand now how to lessen the frustration level when we see Sarah escalating. We’ll keep you posted on how she’s doing.

Thanks again.
