Kris De Koster, Office Manager

Kris is the first person with whom most people connect at CNLD as she's the one who answers phone calls with questions about our services, schedules clients, responds to email inquiries, greets clients in the clinic and runs the front office. She also does the creative design work for the clinic, tends to the garden in the front of the building during the spring and summer, and looks for ways to make the office more inviting and welcoming to everyone who comes through.

Interestingly enough, however, her background is not in the psychology world. Kris has degrees in music theory from Calvin College (Grand Rapids, MI), Colorado State University (Fort Collins, CO) and post-graduate studies at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI). After teaching privately and working for local churches for many years, she left her music work and took on the position of office manager at CNLD. Along with the many "hats" that she wears in our clinic, Kris also does editing work for a local university.

We followed through with the therapist you recommended for Katy’s speech issues, and are seeing steady improvement each week. She looks forward to meeting with her each week – they have really made a connection that also helps her with the social anxieties she previously experienced. This process was very worthwhile since she now recognizes that she can do anything with guidance and assistance. She’s making friends and not avoiding school for the first time in years. Seeing her genuinely smile again is wonderful – thanks for guiding us on the path to a happier Katy.
