D’Ann Kirkland, MS, LLP
D’Ann earned her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Eastern Michigan University in 2001. For many years she performed psychological evaluations with children and adults for vocational rehabilitation and social security disability purposes.
Subsequently, she worked with elementary through high school aged children in both clinical and school settings. For several years she has specifically worked with youth on improving their executive functioning skills by utilizing their strengths and strengthening their weaknesses to improve success academically, socially, and emotionally. She also has experience working with clients on struggles with anxiety, depression, and oppositional behaviors. D’Ann enjoys working with kids and their parents to support family relationships. She works from a cognitive behavioral approach, but also employs other research based treatment modalities when appropriate.
